MARCH EXTRA CREDIT

Here are the five questions for March's Extra Credit. Each question is worth 2 points of extra credit which means there is a possibility of getting ten (10) points of extra credit as we come towards the end of the third marking period.

Answers must be on a 3x5 index card that has your name and section on it!!!

1. What is the term for a wave formed from a rising tide moving upstream into a narrow inlet or channel?

2. What is the term for an isolated hill with a flat top and steeply sloped sides all around?

3. What is the term for a coastal area below sea level that is kept dry by use of embankments such as dikes?

4. What is the term for the glacial area where snow and ice loss is greater than gain?

5. What is th term for an amphitheater-like basin of glacial origin typically found in mountain valleys?

This is wikked cool. My 7th grade geography teacher has a blog too! One difference, he hasn't updated it in over 9 months! woot! Gooooo Mr. Lawhead. You keep rocking those funky socks you have. That's right. Well talk to you guys soon. Or not. No not really, I was kidding. But remember this: There is no absolute truth. Think about it.
