Here is a short video that we watched as an introduction to Japan's Culture.
The mission of the EHMIS Social Studies Department is to cultivate the abilities of young people to make informed and reasoned decisions for the public good as citizens of a culturally diverse and democratic society in an interdependent world. In our 7th grade World Geography class, we will complete a variety of activities site as well as just learn a few things about other countries and cultures. Post a comment and I will answer you ASAP.

My Culture Poster Project
Hey gang.
Just a reminder...You should be working on your poster project over the weekend. Remember that you need to find 2 pictures for each of the elements of culture (total 16 pictures). You also need to write a paragraph explaining each element (total 8 paragraphs). Also remember that this project is about YOU! All of your pictures and writing should be about you and your culture. Remember that we will have time in class on Monday to work on our posters, however you should not wait until Monday to start working. You should be doing work over the weekend so lighten your load on Monday. My recommendation is to get all of your pictures ready over the weekend at the very least, and concentrate on the writing in class on Monday. Or...you can get the entire project finished over the weekend!! This is your first graded assignment, lets get started off the right way!
If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
