Pictures from South Korea

Thanks to Skip for bringing in her pictures from South Korea! As you can tell, the over head shot looks very similar to any city in the United States. And, apart from the different language and the pogada, you might mistake some of these pictures for any place in the United States. Thanks again!

A few thoughts...

There is no homework over the extended weekend, but...

YOU WILL BE SWAMPED WITH HOMEWORK WHEN YOU RETURN!! Here is a list of homework assignments that you will be given the day you return:

1 - Guided Reading 1 - China (#s 1-5,8)
2- Star Vocabulary
Definitions, page number, and Concept from learning map (directions are on the blog)
3 - Google Earth
Finish any questions
4 - China Map Quiz (Thursday and Friday of next week)

If you decide not to do any of these assignments over break, that is fine. Just be aware that you will have this to do when you return.

Star Vocab - Instructions

Our Star Vocab Worksheet is a new way of trying to help us with the vocabulary of this chapter. Here is how I want you to complete it:

1 - Write the definition in the top left block for each term. Be sure to write small enough to fit it in the space provided.

2 - Put the page number where you would find this term in the space for extra information. Also put the LEQ Concept that this term would fit under in the space for extra information.

3 - Shade each star a different color - make sure that you can still see the term!!

4 - Leave the bottom left block and top right block empty for now.
