Great Team 6 Writers!!!!

I heard through the grapevine that four of our Team 6 students were recognized for being really, really, really, really, really good writers. Here is a little explanation about the four of them that I received...

Four seventh graders were recently recognized in the Shippensburg University Writing Contest, sponsored by Sigma Tau Delta. Charissa B. won first place for her memoir Goodbye. Emily W. won first place for her untitled poem. Both girls have been invited to a brunch honoring the winners on April 25th. The girls will receive $75 and a publication including all the winning writing. Erin H. was selected as honorable mention for her memoir Summer of Gymnastics, and Kaitlyn G. was recognized for her fiction story Ink and her poem Never Was. Erin and Kaitlyn will also receive the publication of the winning writing. Congratulations to all four writers for representing South Western so well.

Physical Map Test

The Physical Map Test for Mexico will be THURSDAY and FRIDAY. There will not be a political map test.

Thanks Jay

Thanks to Jay 7-11 for sending me to this website. I found a political cartoon that highlights some of the arguments AGAINST illegal immigrants. Think about our LEQ..."What is immigration's impact on American society?" This political cartoon lists at least four!
**Warning** See both sides/perspectives before choosing your opinion!!!!
